In this post, you will learn how to remove Activate Windows watermark from your PC or laptop temporarily on windows 10/11 without downloading any third party software.
How this works?
- Basically 'slmgr' is a Software Licensing Management Tool.
- The '/rearm' options resets the activation timer and gives you a grace period of 30 days before windows asks for activation again.
- After running this code and restarting your PC, the watermark disappears temporarily.
Pitfalls
- It is a temporary solution. It does not activate windows permanently. After the grace period expires, watermark comes again.
- It has limited uses. You can only use '/rearm' for a maximum of 3 times which gives you a grace period for around 90 days.
- This trick is legitimate for extending trial periods. Other than this might be illegal.
How to use?
- Open Command Prompt and run it as administrator.
- Type "slmgr /rearm".
- Press Enter and click Ok.
- Restart your PC.
After you hit the limit, this trick won't work anymore and watermark will come permanently and it won't go unless you activate your windows through legitimate process or illegal method.
How to check remaining /rearm in your system?
- Open Command Prompt and run it as administrator.
- Type 'slmgr /dlv' and press enter.
- Look for Remaining Windows rearm count.
In this way, you can temporarily remove Activate Windows watermark.
